I can'tI can't really explain how much I love spending time in woodlands.
So I won't.
I suppose playing in the local woods as a kid (when that was still allowed) had a great deal to do with it.
I'm not a hippy, but I have to admit that I do really like trees!
Apparently there has been some studies that prove that hugging trees is actually good for you, but when researching this, it appears the reference is by some guy who is described as a serial entrepreneur rather than a scientist ... I'll leave you to make your own minds up about what a serial entrepreneur is (I have a good idea), but whatever the truth, trees are good to be around.
A fair few of the trees I get to spend time with are mossy types; it rains a lot in Devon; but I'm not fussy ... desciduous, evergreen, small, tall, ancient, sapling ... all are welcome in my world!
I'm a tad obsessed I guess, I can't stop snapping them stoic silent types :D
The interesting thing about trees, is they can look and feel different at different times of the year, or even different times of the day ...
Let me bring you songs from the wood
To make you feel much better than you could know
Dust you down from tip to toe
Show you how the garden grows
